network manager

Last night I was adding manahattan project package on Kubuntu 10.04. To do so I followed installation guide attached with it, it was necessary to give some permission to regarding site so I gave chmod 711 . command (as stated in manual) since then my internet connection is not working. I was working as root when I gave command, network manager which comes on task-bar is showing "network connection unmanaged". Pls. help me with this.

What is the Manhattan project you mention? Try to uninstall it and see if that works as expected.
