can't activate oxygen theme in kde

 am using kde 4.3 in ubuntu 9.04.
i like the Oxygen theme for kde desktop. when i try to activate it in
"kickoff application launcher>computer>system settings>advanced>desktop theme details"
then selecting "oxygen" from the drop-down list, "apply" button still remains inactive/dark and the theme is not applied.
when i go to that menu again i see that previous theme is active not my chosen "oxygen" or any other theme.

Can you tell how you solved it? I have exactly the same problem and I have no idea how to change theme in kubuntu 9.04/kde 4.3. I cannot change air into any other theme I download.
