Open this page http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/puregnome.php

Then open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal

Then select and paste into terminal the contents of the line to "Remove Kubuntu" and then press enter

if the system will ask you for a password, give your password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Then select and paste into terminal the contents of the line to "Remove Kubuntu (KDE 4 version)" and then press enter

if the system will ask you for a password, give your password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Hope this helps
