support for creative zen touch (the original one) (?)

Hello there,

I own two older creative mp3 players .

a) creative zen touch model (2005) : http://www.cnet.de/i/cnet/products/2007/10/creative-zen-touch-zl.jpg

b) creative zen vision:m

Both players worked like a charm up to ubuntu 11.10. After the upgrade to 12.04 both stopped working. After finding out about the "media-player-info"-file I checked it and it seems like both players are not listed (anymore?). Is there any work around / solution? Or am I missing something completely here ?
