where to find the mate-notification-daemon log file (if it exsist)?

Asked by Davide Monge

This is not a bug - only a question.

I need to locate the log file containing all notifications popped up in the current session.
This could me help to create simple external shell scripts that reacts to some notification if exist.

Please, where i can find this log file? i did a "find" command in the entire system but i didn't found any related.

ubuntu-mate wily / MATE 1.12.2

Thanks a lot in advance

You could make a notification, then recursively grep your $HOME folder for the text.

Thanks for the advice.
I did it. None found.
Have you notice of the existence of a log file? If Yer where i can find it?
Probably this log file is system wide and not "personal".

if it's not in $HOME then the next logical place is /var/log
