Integration with bogofilter

Asked by Mihai Chezan

I would like mail-notification (MN) to use bogofilter to filter spam emails. When a new email is detected by MN it should pass it first through bogofilter and if bogofilter says the email is spam then MN should not notify me of the new email (because is spam and I don't want to be bothered with it).
Is there a way to configure mail-notification to use bogofilter in such a way?

I would suggest you email the developers for mail-notification ( mailto:<email address hidden> ) and/or bogofilter ( mailto:<email address hidden> ) to get the best answer on this. I would also include that if it is spam, mail-notification could delete it from the server .... as a suggestion. Otherwise, if it just declares it as spam and does nothing, it will process it over and over again. Possibly, it could also try to reply to it and say to stop sending spam and it isn't accepted at your site?

I'll try to let them know also in advance, but I don't use either one yet, so you need to contact them directly.

Thank you Larry, I will send an email to Jean-Yves Lefort (the developer for mail-notification).
I asked the question here because I thought there is a way to do this w/o actually modifying mail-notification source code.
