Want to download and install LyX

I want to download the software Lyx: http://www.lyx.org/
a word processor. Can anyone help me to check this link "http://www.lyx.org/Download" and let me know where to download the software and install. And does it work in Ubuntu without any errors or issue at present situation.

I even got a link with that packages tab the have in website. "ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.6.9"
Kindly let me know which is the link to download, and post it so that I can download from it.

wget http://archive.getdeb.net/install_deb/getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb; sudo dpkg -i ./getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb; rm ./getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install lyx
