Press ALT+F2 and run:

unity --replace

If you kill lxpanel then restart it. Is it ok? You can do it from an lxterminal (or similar)

Jim McLay (james-mclay) said : #6

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lubuntu-desktop/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get -y upgrade
