Remove a lpr printer file, causing a error "exit status 127.

Asked by Tom D Greenawald

Novice with Ubuntu, using Ubuntu Netbook 10.04 on a Dell mini 386 Atom 2MB Ram. When I set up my printers on a small network , I downloaded a LPR driver, by mistake instead of a Cups driver package and loaded it. After discovering my mistake I thought I had removed it. I did use the "Package Manager Tool" in the system folder. Now months later, when I try to update my system , I can only do a "partial update" of system because I get the following message. E: hl5170dnlpr: Sub process post-removal script returned Error status 127.
