Intrepid's logwatch does not send out e-mails?

Asked by prower2000@hotmail.com

I've been using logwatch for a long while, but the latest version in Intrepid doesn't e-mail off the results of the log processing to your local account as it did in previous versions. Is this a known bug or is there some option that can re-enable it?

You might need to look through the Logwatch configuration files a bit, especially if you've allowed the updater to replace your configuration files with the package maintainer's version. Note the line "test -x /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/logwatch.pl || exit 0" in /etc/cron.daily/00logwatch which cancels execution if the file /usr/share/logwatch/scripts/logwatch.pl doesn't exist or is not executable by the user who is running the script, for example. (I think logwatch is run as user root by cron, but not 100% sure about that.)
