Could we move to the latest release for the next release of ubuntu, 14-10

Hi,

I know you won't want to upgrade log4c in TT, but for the next release in October could we please move to the latest version 1.2.4, see sourceforge project page.

I'd like local time on my log messages not UTC. I could put a wrapper around the text message but it's not quite right.

This will let the developers know you want this feature.

You are correct that its unlikely to be changed in Trusty as we have policy of only changing things if it is a security patch or a bug affecting lots of users for a stable release especially if it's an LTS release as Trusty is.
