Hom can i use benchmp() in my code?

Hello,
I installed lmbench, and i tried to use a code with benchmp like the exemple in the man, and when i compile it i have an erroe lmbench.h no sush file or directory, and when i checked /usr/include/lmbench i found a empty directory. is it a bug or something? I am using ubuntu 12.10.
please forgive my english, i am French.

I didn't compile anything, i only install it from synaptic, how can i do that?

Sorry, i was thinking about the compilation of lmbench,
When i compile my programme i have
| fatal error: lmbench.h : Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type( no sush file or directory )|
||=== Build finished: 1 errors, 0 warnings ===|

have you sated path ?
are you saving your program in same directory where your binaries ? (check path for your code )
have installed lmbench correctly ?

BTW no such file error comes only when some file is missing so i would suggest ( find if there is all binaries installed correctly or you can re-install again)
