kernel self-test failure

Asked by Mitchell Jeppson

Hi,

I am using ubuntu kernel 4.14* for my project. I have been updating the kernel version monthly. The past month or so the site to download the kernel how been showing self-test failures for the amd64 build. I'm not sure if these tests are new or just got moved to a new location. Also are these tests blocking? Should I use the last build before the tests failed? I'd appreciate any info you have, thanks.

For reference

this page is the last known good build for my project, notice no self-test section: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.14.177/

this page is the latest build, it has the self-test failure section: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.14.185/

Thanks

Thanks for the answer Andrew. I'm pretty new to this stuff, anyway you could explain how I find the maintainer for the ppa?
