See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InstallLirc/Maverick.

If those are already the instructions you're working from, then please be specific about what step you've having trouble with.

Or are you asking where you can find a human tutor?

So...what step is it that you're having trouble with?

Please quote text from that page, to identify where you are having trouble.

If you are working in the Terminal and you have already executed (or attempted executing) one or more commands, then please also select all the text in the Terminal (Edit > Select All), copy it to the clipboard (Edit > Copy), and paste it here.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask greg white for more information if necessary.
