hibernate was not completed, computer did not shut down. I had to shut it down pressing the on/off-button, the notebook had to restart normally, which worked.

Asked by sertoli2901

when trying to go to hibernate, the laptop didn shutoff completetly. I had to force shutting down pressing the on/off-button for a few seconds. Afterwords restart works properly.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous hibernate and prevented it from resuming properly. The resume processing hung very near the end and will have appeared to have completed normally.

I have the same problem. It occured for the first time after an upgrade to 9.10.
even when i turn off xserver and run pm-suspend it doesnt work.
pm sais suspend and hibernate are supported.

I have Ubuntu 9.10 64bit on a HP Notebook with onboard Intel graphics.

Can you help with this problem?
