No boot after updating or clean installing 23.04.

I have tried installing different Ubuntu distros ranging from the GNOME, Unity and Cinnamon versions. But I am constantly unable to boot to the desktop after installing 23.04 or updating from one version to another.

I tried to restart a few times to see if it will proceed to the login screen. I haven't accessed the GRUB menu as I haven't modified the gedit upon installing the distro to be able to access the menu itself.

What usually happens is the screen usually shows the distro Ioading screen and then an orange flash happens and the screen turns black with no signs of activity or life.

I am currently using an iMac late 2012 release with 1TB storage and an 8GB of RAM.

You need not do any modification.
You can access the grub menu by hitting the left shift button early during boot.

I understand. Though I didn't try to do the step that you mentioned, I fully reinstalled the LTS version instead and probably wait for a month or two before upgrading again. I just wanna know if some people are also experiencing the same issues.

There is no need for any modifications to access the GRUB menu. To access the menu, simply press the left shift button early during the boot process. For more information visit https://hathway-speedtest.info/
