Does it detect other Bluetooth devices OK?

Bluetooth is Bluetooth. It is a standard. If the phone has Bluetooth then it is compatible.

Thanks for the answer
It reckognises other devices
It is pairing
but the File is corrupted
no further info is displayed
I recon it is the Phone
I have an Iphone IV
it is not working either
but thats a problem of Apple and that problem is well known
Because Apple has limited the frequency of the Bluethoth
to make it incompatible with other Bluetooth-Devices
Would be nice to know if that "trick" is also used by Archos
Its a nice and cheap phone
Its Android 4.4.2
Kernel-Version 3.4.67
I wonder how to update this
