Have you cleaned the surface the mouse runs on and the underside of the mouse?
This will affect the laser

Hi,
The issue is happening while typing and looks to have some sort of similarity to :-
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.15/+bug/39315

I am not using the mouse as such.

Yes it works fine with the mouse, but the problem is while typing via keyboard, the cursor runs back and forth.

Possibly the keys are jerking the touch pad. You can use the disable touch pad when typing option or does it jump all over when you are using the touch pad as normal?

Hi, I somehow feel its something related to the driver as I am facing random issues with the keyboard , like my browser abruptly closed while typing
