Keyboard doesn't mount 14.04 boot

Doesn't seem like a big issue. Often when I boot my acer laptop the keyboard doesn't mount and I can't enter my password unless I click the keyboard icon at the top menu bar that says EN. After that it works fine. Was wondering if this is a bug or if I need to do something to have the keyboard mount automatically. Thanks!
