hardware not configured properly

Asked by Danbalam

Hello,

I need some help......please.

Sorry for short message I NEED to know you will only reply in understandable terms. Most linux users use Jargon that alienates new users. and has done so since the dawn of time - ok not time but linux nonetheless. Wonder why market share is ridiculously in favour of other OS's ? Think about it. Alienators!!!!

Seriously I do need assistance. Have I pissed you off too much already?

Dan.

More to follow.

You have pathetically ranted and raved but not told us your issue. Try doing that and we can progress. WHICH hardware? Which release? You could try even giving just that and we could give some help but, instead, you wrote some tirade which helps nobody. Most of all, you.

Think about it....

Nothing is free. Windows cost around $100 to $ 200+. Ubuntu, or any other Linux, a free download. So you must put more time into making it work right. As for the jargon you referred to, Google the word, or words you don't know. If you still do not understand, ask here. I have noticed most Ubuntu users are very willing to show off their knowledge, and help others. When asking a question, give information about your experience level. Questions come into Lanchpad, from people who are just starting, and don't spell Ubuntu correctly, to people setting up a server for a company.

I've seen so many spellings if Ubuntu, it's funny.

Ooops, I didn't actually mean to send that rant. I'll post a separate question more to the point from now on. Lesson learned. Sorry guys.

Can you help with this problem?
