Ubuntu 11.10 logs out automatically after a period of time. I left it with screen locked and when i came back some hours later it was loged out and the deluge app was terminated . What is going on ? I'm really dont trust it at all now!

What would happen if i ran a webserver ???

Maybe the system is set to close locked out sessions after a specified period of time (I don't have GNOME installed at the moment, but I know for sure that such a setting exists; that's because locked out sessions, in certain configurations, prevent other users from logging in, so a system administrator may opt to close them automatically so as to "free" the computer). Try checking that - I'll have a closer look at it if you ask me.

OK, open a terminal and type the command "gconf-editor". Using the tree view on the left, navigate to /->apps->gnome-screensaver. Check that the setting "logout_enabled" on the right is unchecked.

i reinstalled ubuntu i left it 7 hours alone with the wireless mouse powered on and it didn't logged out.
I guess i have no problem !

i still have the same problem but there is no setting "logout_enabled" on the right ...HELPPP
