my computer logoff and sometime shutdown

sir,
yesterday this is first time happening automatically two log off,
one time automatically shutdown my system,
previous when browsing that websites freezing many time,
after that only my direct shut down,
why happen like that,
any virus affect me feel like,
what can do,
i am using Ubuntu Linux ,
please advise me,

Please be sure your RAM memory is not faulty... booting your pc from a live install cd
