Boot error after upgrade of 11.04

Asked by Roy Lowrance

I was running 11.04 and performed an upgrade.

After the upgrade, when restarting, I receive the following message displayed on the ubuntu splash screen:
"An error occurred while mounting /boot/efi

Press S to skip mounting or M for manual recovery"

Pressing neither S nor M does anything.

How can I recover?

Boot to liveCD ad fsck the partition is a good start

That may work as well.

I ended up re-installing and recovering from my backup.

I have encountered this issue as well. The partition is not corrupted. It seems like keyboard input isn't working. Not impressed, this kind of stuff just can't be allowed to happen!
