Gigabyte T1125: touchpad ignored

Hello,
is there anybody who may help with an issue? Recently I bought a Gigabyte T1125N subnote and tried to install several versions of Ubuntu (10.04, 10.10 and finally 11.04). But with none of these attempts I had success in getting the touchpad to work. Has anybody experienced similar problems with such a notebook? Many thanks for supporting me.
