USB connection not recognized

Asked by Jonathan Petry

I'm new to Linux, Ubuntu, ect.
I used Wine to install Line 6 Monkey, a program to update my guitar's effects pedal. My pedal connects via USB, and when I plugged in the USB, Ubuntu gave no notification of any conection, the program didn't recognize my pedal as connected, and I can't find anywhere within Ubuntu to view connected devices. I looked in Disk Utility, and didn't see anything. Again, I'm new to Ubuntu, I just installed it the other night...so I'm a total novice...
