Can you reboot and login without the device not attached. and run:

lsusb

Can you then attach the device and run:

echo; lsusb; dmesg | tail -n 20

Copy all the output and copy / paste it here.

Then open the keyboard settings tool and/or keyboard shortcuts item in System -> Preferences and click on items there, then press the key you want when prompted. The device is working

Well, I did open keyboard shortcuts, and I do see the items but I don't understand the rest of your reply "click on items there, then press the key you want when prompted. The device is working"

I mean I know how to change shortcuts but, what does that have to do with my device?

sorry but I'm a bit lost ..

You click on the item you want to set, you will then be asked to press the shortcut you want to use. The shortcut in this case is the remote device. This will then set the shortcut to the action you set on the device.

Now when you press the button (or whatever) on the device, it will trigger the shortcut you set.

what if nothing happens? I did what you said but no changes, like if the computer is not receiving anything from the device..
