recover mode 2.6.35-22 prompts to continue
i answer "normal" boot - 1st option
prompts for login : works fine
when i run startx command the systems stops
unable to locate via Log File Viewer - sorry i am quite a newbie when not in graphical mode -
is it possible to attach a photo ?

nota : on 2.6.35-22 startx command runs fine and brings up usual desktop

so, convert this Q. to bug.
then provide attachment of files with output:

$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
and
$ cat /var/log/syslog

well, please try to but by recovery mode on low graphical mode.
