Webcam is gone after the last kernel update (2.6.35-22)

I have a MSI X340 laptop and it was fully working in 10.04 and (until last night's kernel update) 10.10.
After I updated system through update manager (20.10.2010), embedded webcam of my X340 was gone (NB Bison). Neither gstreamer-properties nor HardInfo can not see it & naturally I can't make video chats with Skype or GMail anymore.

I think this is a huge problem and may affect other UVC webcams too...

Well, I have the same problem. My webcam works in 10.04 but after upgrade to 10.10 I can't get this work.
This is a MSI Wind U100. The features are online. Is not new but works very well for my.

Y made a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10, no use the update manager.
