Cannot hibernate in Ubuntu 10.04

Hi, I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 and now I cant hibernate my computer. Instead, I can suspend it perfectly.
When I click in hibernate option, Ubuntu seems shutdown without error messages. When I started it again, ubuntu starts with a new sessions. That is, it doesn't save my open programs and windows... How can I fix it, please?
