Upgrade 9.10->10.4 lost Window Manager

I just upgrade 9.10 to 10.4 via Synaptic, and I have lost Window Manager.
X11 still work, but I lost bar which allow to reduce or close window.

press ALT+F2
type: metacity --replace
press ENTER

you can also try:

compiz --replace

if you like desktop effects.

Sorry, but how to make "metacity --replace" permanent ?
I have to enter it at each boot.

Under system -> preferences -> startup items

add a new item, the comment and name can be anything you desire, just make sure the command reads:

metacity --replace

And you will be fine
