I use Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope with Hp EliteBook 6030p.
To solve the sound problem i only edit
>gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
 and add
options snd-hda-intel model=laptop
The problem disappear, and now i have sound.
