I installed Intrepid Alpha 4 and had the same resolution problem after acticvating the NVIDIA driver and couldn't get it back to work again even after some finetuning of that installation.
But network printing just works fine with intrepid.
For now I keep on using Hardy with the
net.ipv4.tcp_frto=0 solution in sysctl.conf but printing still isn't withhout problems.
Small documents come out of the printer, large documents very often don't. I print klarge documents one page at a time and thats working for me for the moment.
In 6 weeks Intrepid will be released....And then I 'll give that a try.
