Hey,

boot hanging occurs here too on non-Vaio laptop
I have a:
  HP Pavilion dv6000 (dv6500)
  CPU: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 (stating thats running on 800 MHz)

It hangs at BOOT when AC-power is connected.
- then I can wait for very long time,
OR: simply press two times the AC-power-button and it will proceed immediately.
