With today's kernel update (5.19.0-50-generic), I'm still experiencing this issue and none of the above solutions works for me.

When I try to update initramfs, I get:

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-5.19.0-50-generic
Device /dev/sda2 is not a valid LUKS device.
