Before you boot into the test kernel in #20, please remove "options snd-hda-intel model=mute-led-gpio" from /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf first.
If it works, I will send the proper fix to upstream so that you no longer need to modify /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf.
