I upgraded the kernel from 4.15.0-33 to 4.17.14 and it did not help much. Now, after opening the lid the screen works for a second before its getting dark again.

Its a HP Probook 470 with i7 8550 CPU, 250GB SSDdrive and Intel UHD Graphics 620. Ubuntu 18.04
