Christopher, I am not sure what is the rationale in asking Pondo to open a "bug in Ubuntu" if he is experiencing the exact same problem. So far your comments sound like a typical paper-pushing. Nothing concrete ... just try this try that. If a separate bug report is needed for your book keeping ask that directly.
