Should I confirm a bug

I'm subscribed to this bug
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.22/+bug/132271
for some time and until now 3 people have reported the same problem.
Still the bug is marked as new and it's priority is undecided.
I've seen that I have the possibility to mark the bug as confirmed but I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to do this or if it helps.
Getting no feedback at all is a bit frustrating.

If you feel that the bug has enough informatiom for a developer to fix it, then confirm it.
