/bin/sh can't access tty; job control turned off

Asked by Felipe Zepeda

I have a Compaq presario C700 with Vista on it, I also have a dvd rom of Ubuntu 7.04 "Feisty Fawn" Desktop edition, and during the boot from the dvd the installation stop and give me the error /bin/sh can't access tty; job control turned off, then i download ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso and made a LIVEUSB and boot from the USB device, the installation begins but after a while it prompt me with the same error. Any idea how to solve this issue? I just want to get linux and my laptop. In the meanwhile I will be installing windows xp and partitioning the HDD into two parts of 60GB each, but that wont solve the problem, I think.

Thanks guys...
