dv1394 kernel module missing

I am trying to capture video from my camcorder using Kino but get Warning: dv1394 kernel module not loaded or failure to read/write /dev/dv1 ....
I looked in /dev and its not there. It obviously didn't install from the installation disk. Where do I download it from ?
