confused lspci identification

Asked by dino99

Natty i386 updated

hi,
as i was checking my chipsets motherboard using lspci -vvvv, i get both good and wrong returns:

- good: MB is P5WDH (asustek),
     subsystem well recognised for: Firewire

- wrong: IDE/SATA (P5B), SMBus/IDE/ISA/USB (P5KPL-VM), Host (P5WDG2)

Bad effects: first boot failure (unknown root fs), reboot fail, slow boot when checking usb & sata

So what can i do ? Might i report against kernel or else ?

Thanks for your suggestions.
