Subject: Vorlon's patch fixes it for me

Hello,
  I own an alpha PC164SX. Until recently *no* kernel image, wether
built by my using kernel-source-* packages or a Debian kernel image
would work on it and caused pages of PCI errors. This problem meant
I had to keep with kernel image 2.4.18

I have now tried to run Vorlon's specific kernel image 2.4.26 and can
say that it works fine for me (depmod -a segfaults, not sure why).
