how do you guys apply these fixes?

my adept/synaptic managers last time downloaded updates 24 hours ago and problem is still there.

is there any way to see if this patch is implemented?

or download it manually?

is there any guide how to handle this bug fixing beyond running usual adept "fetch updates"?
