Possibility of including 9p filesystem support in the linux-image-virtual version

Asked by Clayton Kramer

The linux-image-virtual packages do not include drivers for 9p filesystem support. Including this feature will allow QEMU filesystem passthrough sharing with virtual machines. I like to use the Ubuntu Cloud images and these don't include 9p FS support out of the box. Are there plans to include this driver in the virtual kernels? Which LP tracker should I use to open a feature request?
