can you access web pages from command line ubuntu server

Asked by branden1975

I have Server 8.10 command line only no GUI installed and I was wondering if it is possible to access web pages? I installed a program called links that was supposed to allow you to simply type http://www.ubuntu.com and the page would load but this did not work wondering if this is even possible?
