Sign In Process is secured?

Asked by razvan80

Hello There,

First - i like a lot Lightread - it is something i was looking for, for my ubuntu 12.04 machine.

Now - i am concerned with security; there is a lot of hacking going around google accounts, i wanted to know how do you secure the sign process with Lightread? Do you use https to log in, in the Google Reader account?

Thanks for explaining,

Razvan

@actionparsnip: lightread uses this Launchpad for it.

Yes, the signin URL is "https://www.google.com/accounts/ClientLogin".
But be aware that not all content is pulled over HTTPS. It depends on the URL of the feeds and / or the links in the feeds.

@Thomas - thanks for confirming; i was interested mainly in the sign up process to Google Reader and the way my id and password is transmitted over the net.

Brgds.
