Don't want to switch to browser when opening links

Asked by paul

I'm using Lightread and Chromium on 12.04.
I find it tedious to have to move back to the reader after opening a link and having the browser pop up. I'd rather open all the links I intend to read in their own tabs with the browser staying in the background. Is there a way to do this?
