How do I add pictures to wall paper

Asked by Lynne Stevens

If I use a wall paper from the ones in the wallpaper list it comes up on the sign in screen / log in screen

And since I am using a picture of my Motorcycle as my background / wallpaper it only comes up AFTER I Sign in

Do I have to add it to the wall paper list and put the path in the file ?

Then the picture should come up on the splash screen right ?

Check out the permissions of the picture. Maybe it has something to do with this.

LightDM can read pictures almost from everywhere , but needs permissions to do that.

ls -ld <file-name>

will show you the current permissions.

Thanks

Just went to Pictures did a right click and went down to properties and changed permissions . .
