.goutputstream-* gets created in $HOME with each shutdown / restart

Asked by Steve Sauls

These files get created as 0 byte files. I have been watching to see if they ever get deleted and I can't tell that they do. I just deleted about 20 of them. I have tested this and determined that they are being created on system shutdown / restart.

I noticed that too, no idea what they are. I took to adding:

rm /home/username/.goutputstream-*

above the 'exit 0' line in:

/etc/rc.local

to clean them up. Even happens in Raring.
