Hanging in the Login-screen

Asked by Bert Booltink

Hello,

After booting I'am keep hanging in the Login-screen from the GUI.

I give the passwort, it changes for a moment to the console-screen, and returns to the login-screen without a error-messages.
I changed the passwort already in console-mode, and logging in is also no problem in the consolemode, only in GUI it doesn't go.

I'am using Kubuntu

Thanks

if you press CTRL+ALT+F1 and login there, if you run:

df -h

is there free space on all partitions?

Hi ,

go to Console mode and give this command

rm ~/.Xauthority <=== Capital X and a dot front of it.

Reboot and see if you can login in D.E

Thanks
